Pressing the first apples

What a cold September did to the harvest, and why we pressed early.

Sample post. These words are placeholder text to test the layout, and will be replaced before launch. The trees knew before we did: by the second week of September the apples were dropping, and the Redlands soil was hard as brick.

Body text sits in a single column of comfortable reading width. Links are underlined and turn a deep terracotta on hover, like this one. A paragraph like this one carries most of a post, so it needs to be easy to read for a long time on a phone and on a big screen.

A subheading in the body

More body text between images. Each photo runs edge to edge, in natural colour, with an optional caption underneath. The description is read out to people who can’t see the photo, and the caption is shown to everyone.

More body text after the pull quote. The post ends with any further reading, then a link to the next older post and back to all writing.
